Tap Into Your Own Ability To Heal Yourself
EFT comes to us from Chinese medicine, it is based around meridian points which are thought of as areas of the body that energy flows through. These pathways help balance the energy flow to maintain your health. An imbalance in energy flow can influence disease or sickness. EFT is an alternative treatment for physical and emotional pain. It is also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure. EFT focuses on using fingertip tapping on the meridian points, also known as energy hot spots, which is a method known to restore balance to your body’s energy.
Proponents say the tapping helps you access your body’s energy and send signals to the part of the brain that controls stress. They claim that stimulating the meridian points through EFT tapping can reduce the stress or negative emotion you feel from your issue. This ultimately will help restore balance to your disrupted energy.

"When you have a trauma, or some thing that makes you anxious, it's as if your system downloads a malware program ... Tapping is like finding [it] and uninstalling it."

The EFT Process Is An Individual Journey
Step One - Identify the issue - In order for this technique to be effective you must first identify the issue and/or fear you are experiencing. This will be your focal point while you are using the tapping technique. Focusing on only one problem at a time is suggested to enhance your ability to achieve your desired outcome.
Step Two - Test the initial intensity - After you identify your problem area, you need to set a benchmark level of intensity as a starting point of reference. The intensity level will be identified using a scale which will be discussed with you during your session. The scale assesses the emotional or physical pain and discomfort you feel from your focal issue.
Establishing a benchmark helps you monitor your progress after performing a complete EFT sequence. If your initial intensity was 10 prior to tapping and ended at 5, you’d have accomplished a 50 percent improvement level.
Step Three - The setup - Prior to tapping, you and your EFT Practitioner will establish a phrase that explains what you’re trying to address.
It must focus on two main goals:
Step Four - EFT tapping sequence - The EFT tapping sequence is the methodic tapping on the ends of nine meridian points. This will be coordinated and directed by your EFT Practitioner.
Step Five - Test the final intensity - At the end of your sequence, rate your intensity level on a decided scale. Compare your results with your initial intensity level. If you haven’t reached “0”, repeat this process until you do.
EFT Contraindications
Although EFT is a non-invasive therapeutic healing technique, it is not recommended for the following individuals.
